SPIRITUAL COMMISSION

​

          It is the commission of members responsible to help, encourage and give support in the spiritual life and the growth of the members and the district. It takes into account the different spiritual dimensions and thus fosters the spiritual vitality, so that we may together build a strong spiritual environment in the district.

          We are primarily spiritual and that gives essence and meaning to our lie, otherwise we are equal to animals. Gen 1: 26 ”And now let us make human beings, they will be like us and resemble us, they will have power over the fish, the birds, and all animals, domestic and wild…” Gen 2: 7 ”Then the Lord God took some soil from the ground and formed a man out of it. He breathed life giving breath into his nostrils and the man began to live.” God has created human beings out of love for Him and only we have true existence through Him, with Him and in Him. Mk3:14” I have called you to be with me” Jn15: 16,5 He chose us to remain with Him and bear lasting fruit. He says, “ Apart from me you can do nothing” Jesus alone can give us strength and real meaning to our life. Jn 10: 10” I came that you may have life in abundance.”

          As Dehonians we are called to be prophets of love and servants of Reconciliation In the Spirit of Jesus and Mary ( Cst no 6) Ecce Venio , Heb 10:7 “ Behold I come to do your will O God” and Ecce Ancilla  Lk 1: 38” Behold the handmaid of the Lord, be it done to me according to thy word.” Our Spirit call us to be ready and available to ser the Lord and Other.

          The aim is to Spiritual Commission is to spread the devotion to the sacred heart through the Eucharistic Adoration and other spiritual exercises and ministries that are very much Dehonian and thus build the Kingdom of Jesus Christ in the souls, communities and the Society.

• To meet as a team at least thrice a year.

• To publish the Mustard Seed Thrice a year

• To try and visit the communities and take conferences.

• To have seminars as required and helpful
